About Soft Wash Roof Cleaning
ACT Power Wash follows the recommended no pressure chemical cleaning guidelines of the Asphalt Roofing Manufactures Association. We do not use any pressure washing when cleaning a roof. Prior to each job we do a drone inspection to check the status of the roof. If there are any broken tiles or roof damage you will know right away. You will also be able to compare before and after photos of your roof after we complete the clean. Here is a before vs after from one of our cleans.
After the drone inspection is finished, someone on our team will start watering vegatation and bagging off downspouts to prevent run off. We use algicide to treat the organic growth residing on your roof. The algicide decomposes fast and turns into salt which can damage plants when not taking preventative measures. Watering plants before, during the treatment, and after keeps the plants safe. We also use a neutralizing agent after the clean that absorbs the salt crystals left over from the algicide. Every roof cleaning job we do is a two man job. The soft washing technique we use kills and removes the algae, mold and mildew that is discoloring your roof.
